Immunize Nevada (formerly the Nevada Immunization Coalition) evolved in 2007 as a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving and protecting the health of Nevadans through increased immunizations. While Nevada has two immunization coalitions—Northern Nevada Immunization Coalition (NNIC) and Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition (SNIHC)—the state recognized a need for one organization to help fill the gaps for provider education and awareness and to provide additional support for both coalitions.

The mission of Immunize Nevada is to offer statewide immunization outreach through continuing education opportunities for healthcare providers through conferences, webinars and training opportunities; community outreach through media and marketing programs; and advocating for pro-immunization policies at the state level. The organization’s primary functions include:
         
**Supporting healthcare professionals by providing education opportunities, conferences, office tools and incentive

**Bringing together regional, state and national partners to collaborate on immunization projects and programs

**Serving as an expert resource to community members and providing outreach on the importance of immunizing and the risks of not immunizing

**Advocating for pro-immunization policies at the state level

As a nonprofit entity, Immunize Nevada depends on donations from individuals and businesses, as well as funding obtained through appropriate grants. Through Saint Mary's Foundation, our fiscal agent, Immunize Nevada is able to accept tax deductible contributions as a 501(c)(3) organization.
