Reno, Nev. (March 26, 2018) — As part of our celebration of National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW), April 21-28, Immunize Nevada is to host community baby showers in across northern and southern Nevada. These baby showers will include a health resource fair and free immunization clinic for young children to get their recommended vaccines.

The Pahrump Community Baby Shower kicks off NIIW on Saturday, April 21. The event is held at the NyE Communities Coalition building from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Gardnerville Community Baby Shower is set for Monday, April 23 form 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Douglas County Community Center Gym. Immunize Nevada and the Southern Nevada Health District will partner to present the Las Vegas event Friday, April 27 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Southern Nevada Health District. The Reno Community Baby Shower is Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Meadowood Mall in the center court. All events are free admission and all ages are welcome to attend!

Immunizations will be offered at all events at a reduced cost or free to eligible children. Adult vaccines will also be offered. Please bring your insurance card and immunization record with you.

The Community Baby Showers are a part of National Infant Immunization Week, an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases. It brings together hundreds of communities across the United States to celebrate the critical role vaccination plays in protecting the health of our children, families, and communities.
