What Is Nevada Health Link?
Nevada Health Link is the state’s online health insurance marketplace designed to help Nevada residents find affordable health and dental insurance that fits their needs and your budget. Through Nevada Health Link, individuals can shop for, compare and purchase a qualified health or qualified dental plan. Nevada Health Link is run by the state agency known as the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange.

Nevada Health Link offers a variety of insurance plans from three different health insurance companies, as well as tools and resources to help you choose the plan that’s right for you. Nevada Health Link is the ONLY health insurance resource that can provide you with federal tax credits and subsidies to help cover the cost of your insurance.

During Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2020, Nevada Health Link is no longer using the federal technology platform known as HealthCare.gov to enroll Nevada consumers in coverage. Instead, existing and new consumers will shop for and enroll in health insurance coverage directly through Nevada Health Link.

What Is Open Enrollment?

The Open Enrollment Period is the only time of year that enrollees can sign-up for health insurance or make changes to their existing plan. This year, Open Enrollment runs November 1 through December 15, 2019. If you do not enroll before midnight on December 15, 2019, you will not be able to purchase a Qualified Health or Qualified Dental Plan until the following year, during Open Enrollment – unless you experience a qualifying life event, making you eligible for a Special Enrollment Period.
