Nevada Immunization Learning Exchange (NILE)
Nevada Immunization Learning Exchange (NILE) was created by Immunize Nevada to bridge the gap between the timeliest and cutting-edge immunization information and Nevada’s healthcare providers. With Nevada’s childhood immunization rates continuing to rank among the lowest in the nation, Immunize Nevada, in conjunction with the State of Nevada Immunization Program, are the leaders for educating healthcare providers about the importance of immunizations for Nevadans across a lifespan. With neighboring states including California, Washington and Oregon continuing to face immunization challenges related to policy, personal and religious exemptions, as well as recent vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks, now more than ever, it is imperative that our healthcare providers are armed with the most accurate immunization information and tools available for patients.
The NILE program offers monthly webinars, onsite training opportunities and an annual immunization conference for providers to fine-tune their skills, network with colleagues and earn continuing education credits—often at no cost. NILE targets multiple healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants, vaccine representatives and healthcare advocates. NILE continues to grow and identify provider needs, as well as ways to educate targeted audiences. Current programs include:
Monthly Webinars
Immunization Best Practices for Medical Assistants Training Courses
Vaccine-Preventable Disease (VPD) Conference
