NILE Webinar - Nevada’s Immunization Fraud & Abuse Policy

Join Immunize Nevada for a one-hour course highlighting Nevada’s Immunization Fraud and Abuse Policy on Feb. 23 from 12:30 to 1 p.m. (PST). As a follow up to the January VFC webinar program, the Fraud and Abuse Policy webinar will highlight the rules and regulations of the VFC program; which children are VFC eligible; and review the policies and provide insight into what immunization fraud and abuse is.

Featured Presenters:
Erin Seward, MPH
In June 2007 Erin Seward earned her Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Community Health from Oregon State University.  Erin has been with the Nevada State Immunization Program since February 2009 and has served two different roles – WebIZ Manager and now the Immunization Program Manager.  Additionally, Erin has worked in several areas of public health including HIV/AIDS, anti-tobacco, substance abuse, and statutory rape prevention.  From 1999 – 2003 Erin Seward attend the University of Nevada Reno and majored in Health Ecology while running on a full-ride scholarship in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track.  As a Wolf Pack runner, Erin earned several titles including WAC 5,000m indoor champion, 5,000m California Nevada State Champion, Cross County MVP, WAC team champion, and others.  

Learning Objectives:
The Fraud and Abuse program will:
1. Educate providers on the Nevada State Immunization Program’s policy on fraud & abuse
2. Increase providers’ knowledge on which children are VFC eligible
3. Increase providers’ knowledge on the rules of the VFC Program
